Horrabridge Primary and Nursery School

Welcome to our School

Horrabridge Primary & Nursery School is a 'GOOD' school (Ofsted October 2023). It is situated within the village of Horrabridge, between Yelverton and Tavistock, on the western edge of Dartmoor.

Ours is a lovely, friendly school with fabulous facilities and a committed and caring staff. Our school benefits from eight modern, spacious classrooms ~one for each of our single aged year groups from Reception to Y6 and one for our 2-4 year olds in Nursery. We also have a networked ICT suite with 30 computers (in addition to portable chrome books and i pads), a cookery area, separate libraries for Early Years/KS1 and KS2 and a large school hall/community sports hall. Our spacious outdoor environment includes large playground areas and play equipment, a large, level playing field, enclosed astro turf pitch and a covered outdoor learning area. We also have environmental garden areas.

The level of individualised care for the children is excellent and plans for children's progression are really considered. I feel able to approach the school team/teachers with any issues and concerns and teaching staff are proactive at speaking with me about my child.

We're really pleased we made the decision to move our child to Horrabridge. She's thriving, has access to a wide range of activities and is thoroughly enjoying school. We can't think of anything to improve!
